Day of training!

Today, we ( Avi, Thai and meeee) went to Santosh's house to do ONE thing only - play table tennis as much as we could for tomorrow's table tennis competition. So we did :D

We got bored after about 4 hours of it, so we all decided to head off to Kyleen's house which was "close by" according to Santosh's reckoning. About half way through, we decided to split off and have a race to see who could get to Kyleen's house faster. Thai + Me  VS.  Avi and Santosh.

It turned out Thai didn't know the number to the house but would recognize the house as soon as he saw it. So we went on the road hoping to find the house (which had like, houses going up to #300+) and stopped at 245. After going through 60 - 245 and not finding the house, we decided to call the other two who might have gotten there already.

They told us to go back the other way, but then told us that the house number was 252. WHICH MEANT WE WERE 3 HOUSES AWAY WHEN WE GAVE UP. By this time we had walked all the way back to around 210 and had to walk back an entire street.

Santosh and Avi reached Kyleen's house first, although technically Thai and I had won. Plus, Avi and Santosh cheated by hitching a ride in Santosh's sister's car. SO WE WON! IT'S OK AS LONG AS WE KNOW WE WON!

And that concludes a very long life story :D

School is for learning!

O hai.

Been busy with getting back to school and all that so... yeah :D

Anyway, despite it being year 11 and seniors and all, I hardly feel like I've learnt anything in any of my subjects. Is it just me or do the lessons seem to drag on and on and on...

To give a quick look into my subjects:

3U Maths: Revising year 10 stuff. For the third week.

Adv. English: Reading King Henry V one slow scene per lesson and analyzing and summarizing and other-izing the scene.

Physics: Data-logger prac and running prac.

Biology: Biotic = Living factor. Abiotic = Non-living factor. Anything else?

Engineering Studies: As good as it sounds, the only thing I've learnt is that Haracic doesn't like Indians. Ha!

SLR: Seeing as I picked this subject in order to not learn, it's going well. Plus, we get to swim next period :D

[insert joke about me not being able to swim]

Don't worry, it's good for you!

O hai guys.

As you know, I like my food. And it's pretty hard to make me lose my appetite. Well, today I was eating dinner with my wonderful family, and I'm just gobbling all the meat I can get my chopsticks on.

I grab this asian vegie thing (I have no idea what it's called in english, it's like bok choi or lettuce, for you Canto people, it's CHOI) and lo and behold, there's a nice, big, fat green caterpillar on it. Now I don't know about anyone else, but that totally made me lose my appetite.

I showed it to my mom, expecting some reaction like, "OMG, throw it in the bin." or "WTF" or something. Instead, I get a "Oh, don't worry about that, it's good for you, eat it!"

This incredi-fied me so much that I chucked the caterpillar on her bowl and told her to eat it.

....Yeah.

This is what it looks like by the way.

Happy CHINESE New Year!

Well, once again it's that special time for us asians, the new year that REALLY counts - Chinese New Year! I wish you all a great year, with good health and happiness, and, most importantly, a whole bunch of lucky money / red pocket money!

I'm on $210 and feelin' rich :D

Just to clarify to some people, lucky money is given by married couples to younger people, whether they are married or not.

In other news.. who's doing table tennis for sport? Queensland got owned again! Valentine's Day is coming up! Haracic thinks Indians are bad!

Gong hei fat choi!

First day as senior(s)!

First day back to school! And it's hot as shit! 42 degrees with two heavy textbooks makes for some crappy learning. Not that we learnt anything...

Weird to see everyone in senior uniform, I keep thinking that we're still juniors so my eyes just seem to skip the white shirts and look at the khaki.

But being a senior is greaaaat. We can finally walk through the Hall of Honour without having to look guiltily behind us to see if Mr. Craig is ready to pounce at us. Also, senior authority is pretty cool, although it seems a bit... mean :D

Example: Year 7/8/9 (they all look the same) kids drinking from bubblers, a certain indian struts along and says 'Oi! Get away, I want a drink!" Year 7/8/9 scatter and our little hero drinks with a smug look on his face.

By the way, anyone remember de-tagging in Year 7? Why are we not de-tagging year 7's?! There are also tags on our new ties. DE-TAG  BATTLE, ANYONE?

..no?
